Israeli Dairy Technology Implemented Successfully in Vietnamese Farm
The joint dairy project between Israel and Vietnam is officially inaugurated
After 8 months of trial operation, the dairy demonstration and experimental farm (DDEF)-the joint project between the Agency for International Cooperation and Development, Israel (MASHAV) and Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD) of Ho Chi Minh City(HCMC) is officially inaugurated in the morning of 27/08/2013.
Attending the inauguration are Mr. Le Thanh Hai-member of Party Central Committee, Secretary of the HCMC Party Committee, Mr Nguyen Van Dua – Deputy Standing Secretary of HCMC Party Committee, Mr. Vu Van Tam-Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong, Deputy Chairwoman of HCMC People’s Committee, Mr. Daniel Carmon, Deputy Director General, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Head of MASHAV and Ms. Meirav Eilon Shahar – Ambassador of the State of Israel to Vietnam.
The farm is located in Binh Chanh District, Ho Chi Minh City on a total area of 10ha. The farm has more than 120 cows.
After applying modern diary technology of Israel, the milk productivity has increased by 50% and is estimated to reach 20-25 liters/day while the farm is in its smooth operation.
This event is one of the activities to celebrate 20 years of diplomatic relations between Israel and Vietnam.
