ICL Leads the Way in Polyhalite Mining

A member of ICL Fertilizers Europe is the first and only company mining polyhalite for fertilization

cleveland potash limited (cpl), a member of icl fertilizers europe, is the first and only company in the world mining and selling polyhalite (under the trade name polysulphate™) as a fertilizer. polysulphate™ is a multi-nutrient fertilizer that contains four essential plant nutrients—potash, sulphate, magnesium and calcium.

polysulphate™ from cleveland potash is a new naturally occurring mineral fertilizer containing the sulphates of potassium, magnesium and calcium. it is a complex crystal product which has been discovered at a depth of 1300 metres in the cleveland potash mine in the uk and is found in few other places in the world.

·         concentrated sulphur source for low application rates

·         readily available sulphur plus potassium and magnesium

·         naturally occurring uk product

·         nutrients are fully available to plants

extensive trial work has confirmed that the principal nutrients of sulphate, potash and magnesium in polysulphate™ are fully available to plants, performing in trials with the same plant-efficiency as standard sources of potassium and magnesium sulphate.

polysulphate™ is available as a 2-4 mm granular fertilizer product which can be applied as a straight fertilizer or can be used in blends. polysulphate™ is also available as standard grade, ideal for use in compound fertilizer manufacturing.

polysulphate™ has these minimum contents of:

·         sulphur 48% so3 as sulphate

·         potassium 14% k2o as from potassium sulphate

·         magnesium 6% mgo as from magnesium sulphate

·         calcium 17% cao as from calcium sulphate

polysulphate™ is a low chloride fertilizer, and being a natural product with no chemical processing makes it suitable as an organic source of nutrients.
