Seed Companies’ Open Days in the Netherlands
Hazera and Clause International Open Days showing their Innovations and Technologies

the limagrain group’s vegetable seed companies, hazera and clause will hold the annual international open days at a new, 2 hectare field site in warmenhuizen, the netherlands. the event is an opportunity to discover the latest varieties, innovations and technologies in open field vegetable growing.
hazera is hosting the event and crop specialists from hazera and clause will be available to answer visitors’ questions. the selection of crops on show includes white, red, savoy and pointed cabbage, brussels sprouts, cauliflower, broccoli, onions, carrot, beetroot, a whole range of lettuce, squash, leeks, radish, pumpkin, celeriac, turnip, cornsalad, arugula and endive. new this year – a clause home garden selection of bean, lettuce and pumpkin varieties for the hobby garden market. a selection of fruit setting crops, such as tomato, cucumber, watermelon and others will be shown in the pavilion. visitors will have the opportunity to sign up for visits to leading companies and freshly prepared dishes using the vegetables shown in the field, will be served throughout the event.
hazera will present new brassica products such as: high yielding brussels sprouts for processing, cabbages for long storage in continental conditions and a range of broccoli products with excellent heat tolerance; an onion range combining high yield and long storage and new extended storage varieties in the very early slot for both long-day and extra-long-day and a brand-new range of early slot set onions. the selection of leafy crops includes the latest lettuce varieties from vilmorin.
the clause range features new cauliflowers and broccolis (including the new sprouting-broccoli calebrini©), alternaria resistant carrots for conventional and organic growers, a sweetcorn line for northern europe, virus-resistant squash varieties and corn salads for open and protected cultivation. a range of halloween decorative and edible pumpkins completes the display.
