New Series of Air Release Valves Developed by Dorot’s R&D department

Dorot Control Valves is announcing the release of a sew series of Air Release Valves, DAV-MP, that are complementary to the existing line of Air Release Valves.

The Series includes 3 Air Release Valves all meeting a working pressure of PN25.

1) DAV-MP-A – Automatic

2) DAV-MP-K – Kinetic

3) DAV-MP-KA – Automatic Kinetic Combination

The Valves, Developed by Dorot’s R&D department, are made of Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) with a steel casing allowing the product to withstand high pressures and prevent damage or vandalism.

These valves are placed in various locations along the pipe based on various hydraulic considerations. They allow the release of large quantities of air during the initial filling of the system, intake large quantities of air during the drainage of the pipe preventing the pipe implosion and introduction of external contaminants. The Automatic and Combination versions allow release of air from a water filled pipe under pressure.

High reliability and superior sealing give Dorot valve’s great advantages over currently existing valves in the market.

Dorot’s new valves have very low maintenance requirements and, if needed, very simple maintenance procedures.

They seal drip-tight in any condition, including in systems with a low pressure.

An embedded aerodynamic float allows air flow at very high velocities in the valve.

This Float is designed to close only when water reaches the valve and all the air has been released.

Technical Data:

· Working pressure – 0.2-25 BAR

· 1” base with a thread meeting BSP or NTP standards based on the customer’s needs.

· Base – Brass, Cover – Cast Iron

· Internal parts: Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP), Corrosion free.

· Kinetic and Combination valves can release more than 220 m ³/h at 1 bar.

Dorot Control Valves has been producing and offering a range of products for fluids distribution for over 65 years. The accumulated knowledge and expertise have allowed Dorot to offer solutions for the air release valve market and respond to the needs that were generated by field maintenance personnel and professionals.
