Hazera Inaugurated Its New R&D Center in Berurim

On January 5th Hazera inaugurated its new R&D center in Berurim. Previously, the R&D center was located in the Mivhor Farm near Kiryat Gat

The new center, which was built at a cost of 80 million NIS, includes modern laboratories, growing rooms, modern greenhouses and offices.
The launching ceremony was attended by an impressive delegation of the French Limagrain Corporation, Hazera’s parent company, comprised of about 30 people – members of the Limagrain board, and the senior management of this global seed giant.

In addition to the festive opening of the building, the visit of the Limagrain delegation was scheduled in order to mark Hazera’s 75th anniversary, as well as the company’s new branding and name: 

The Limagrain delegation toured the company’s greenhouses, the Sderot plant, visited several growers in the Besor and Arava regions, as well explored the country and traveled to the Dead Sea, Petra, Eilat and Jerusalem.

During the visit, a festive reception + cocktail was held, and we were honored by the attendance of the Minister of Agriculture Mr. Yair Shamir, the Netherland’s ambassador to Israel, representatives of the implementation company and the Hebrew University’s Faculty of Agriculture, representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, and many of Hazera’s customers, suppliers and business partners.
Speakers at the event included the Minister of Agriculture, Chairman of the Board of Limagrain’s Vegetable Seeds Division, Hazera’s CEO Rami Dar, and Judah Olshansky, Hazera’s Marketing Director.
