AgriPass and FYELD Bring Intelligent Weed Control to EIMA 2026

Designed with farmers, for farmers, AgriPass Robotics is bringing its human-inspired Physical AI robotics platform to EIMA International 2026 following a season of field collaboration across Italy’s processing tomato regions.

Weed management remains one of agriculture’s greatest challenges. Labor shortages, herbicide resistance, increased regulations, and rising input costs are driving growers to seek new approaches. Founded in Israel in 2023, AgriPass Robotics develops human-inspired Physical AI for agriculture, combining real-time vision, intelligent decision-making, and adaptive mechanical action to replicate the precision and adaptability of skilled farm workers as they respond to individual plants and changing field conditions.

AgriPass’s first commercial application, RHIC (Robot of Human-Inspired Cultivation), is a robotic cultivation platform that combines artificial intelligence, real-time computer vision, and adaptive mechanical actuators to identify individual plants and remove weeds selectively. Its Adaptive Selective Tilling (AST) technology targets individual weeds, helping reduce unnecessary soil disturbance with zero herbicides while protecting crops.

Building agricultural technology with farmers, for farmers

Between April and July 2026, AgriPass brought RHIC to processing tomato operations across Emilia-Romagna, Piemonte and Toscana, Italy. Four cooperatives hosted demonstrations and field activities, whose fields represent more than 21,000 hectares of processing tomatoes. More than 100 growers, agronomists, and technicians participated.

For AgriPass, the roadshow was an opportunity to work alongside the Italian agricultural community, understand growers’ needs and continue developing technology around real farming conditions. The company’s philosophy is simple: technology should empower farmers, combining the capabilities of Physical AI and robotics with the practical knowledge of the skilled workers who work the land.

Our work with Italian growers has reinforced something we strongly believe: the future of agricultural robotics must be built together with farmers, not simply delivered to them. By combining their practical knowledge with Human-Inspired Physical AI, we are developing machines that can understand field conditions, make intelligent decisions, and adapt their actions at the individual plant level. Our collaboration with FYELD is an important step toward bringing these capabilities to growers at commercial scale.”

In Piacenza, AgriPass ran trials and demonstrations with cooperative C.I.O. and Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore over several weeks, introducing software updates and refining its AI model in the field. The extended engagement demonstrated the value of continuous collaboration and real-world learning.

The roadshow also delivered encouraging results. At Patto Pomodoro Piemonte in Alessandria, a controlled test recorded 60% weed removal on the first pass and 70% on the second. At Tenuta Santa Caterina in Toscana, RHIC recorded 73% weed removal in a field with dense weed infestation. These results provided valuable feedback as AgriPass continues to refine its technology.

Beyond Weed Control: Building the Next Generation of Agricultural Intelligence

While weed control is AgriPass’s first commercial application, its broader vision extends beyond cultivation to build a Physical AI platform for more precise, sustainable farming. By combining plant-level vision, real-time field intelligence, and adaptive action, AgriPass aims to unlock new insights into crop performance and soil health while reducing chemical dependency and creating value for growers and agricultural partners.

AgriPass’s work in the European market is supported by its strategic partnership with FYELD, an Italian industrial group integrating specialized agricultural machinery brands for high-value crops, including tomatoes, peppers, and vegetables. The partnership combines AgriPass’s AI and robotics expertise with FYELD’s machinery capabilities to advance adaptive, selective, and intelligent agriculture equipment worldwide.

Meet AgriPass at EIMA 2026

At EIMA International 2026 in Bologna, Italy, November 10-14, AgriPass will showcase RHIC in partnership with FYELD at Hall 30, Stand C/7.
