Tefen Technologies Redefining Crop Protection for a Safer Future
Agricultural innovation has accelerated in recent years, driven by extreme weather linked to the climate crisis and stricter regulations promoting sustainability. One key focus is the safer use of crop protection chemicals.
In response, leading chemical companies have developed a closed-transfer cap system that prevents leakage during handling and pouring. This Close Transfer System solution protects the soil, the environment, and the farmer, while supporting industry goals to reduce chemical use by 50% by 2030 and improve safety standards.
Tefen Technologies, with decades of experience in developing and manufacturing dosing and crop protection systems, has taken an active role in adapting its solutions to this new standard. The company developed AccuRite, an advanced system designed to integrate seamlessly with the new Easy Connect caps, ensuring a fully sealed process from start to finish.

AccuRite is one of only a few systems currently available on the market that comply with the new regulations, which will begin in the Netherlands and are expected to expand globally.
According to Aner, Business Development Manager at Tefen Technologies:
“The primary goal of the system is to support farmers throughout the spraying season, especially during spring. It is designed to handle everything from small containers to large tanks that operate across vast agricultural areas. Our systems are already installed in several European countries.”

The system is designed for simplicity and safety. The farmer places the chemical container onto the AccuRite, which automatically opens the cap, measures the precise required dosage, and transfers it into the spray tank. The solution is then mixed and prepared according to the farmer’s pre-set parameters without any direct contact with the chemicals. This creates a fully closed system, significantly reducing exposure risks.
Key advantages of the AccuRite system:
Closed connection to the cap – including internal and external rinsing of containers, enabling safe recycling.
Precise dosing – the system accurately measures, transfers, and mixes the exact amount required for spraying.
Aner adds, “The feedback from the field has been very positive. We already have installations across a wide range of crops: field crops such as wheat, corn, and potatoes, as well as orchards and vineyards.”

In vineyards, for example, the system plays a crucial role in reducing chemical costs, as farmers often apply more than necessary. AccuRite ensures precise application, leading to both economic and environmental benefits.
While the system can be installed directly on sprayers, most installations are currently mobile units mounted on trolley systems. This reflects the reality that many farmers prepare their spray mixtures at the farm facility rather than in the field. The mobile unit connects to the spray tank, delivering a ready-to-use solution directly to the field.
In summary, with the development of AccuRite and its compatibility with the new closed-transfer cap system, Tefen Technologies is leading the way in agricultural innovation, enhancing safety, supporting sustainability, and protecting both farmers and the environment through smart, forward-thinking solutions.
